Relation Band

A Lovely Park

A very nice turnout on a fine evening

Ohhh....Ahhhh

The "Music in the Park" series continued this evening in the park just a short walk from our house. Tonight was the Relation Band. Seems that some of them are related. The played classic rock, Motown, and some progressive country. A very nice early summer evening with mild temperatures and low humidity. We brought some munchems and drinkems...and some neighbors. One of our neighbors even brought some chocolate covered strawberries---Zowie! The evening was capped off with a beautiful fireworks show.

2006 Muny Season

Aerial view of the Muny

The 2006 Muny Season has begun. As you may recall, the Muny is the nation's oldest and largest outdoor musical theatre. Each summer they put together seven shows which run for one week each. This year's lineup includes The King and I, Aida, Gypsy, Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and Oliver. Our tickets are Friday nights. See you at The Muny!

Graduation Day

BoyHead: My life in pictures

BH picked this out himself

The ProcessionBoyHead graduated from High School today. Twelve years of preparation and education is finally completed. It was a day of celebration and homage to the BoyHead. Relatives came in from the far corners of the globe. Friends and loved ones gathered around and joined in the celebration. We threw a party in his honor with lots of food.

But, it was a bittersweet moment. I brimmed with fatherly pride and high regard for the BoyHead and his accomplishments and reminisced to the days when he was just a little shaver. Now, he's becoming a man. The launch pad has been set, the rocket is in place, the countdown nearly complete. He's ready to launch. He'll start his summer job on Monday (working on a production line at a chemical company) and is set to start college in the fall. He'll be majoring in Engineering Physics at Southeast Missouri State University. Thanks to his fabulous brain, he got a "half-ride" scholarship.

We should have taken this picture before the hordes attacked

It was a Texican Fiesta

We Love You BoyHead
